Hey folks,
Sorry we haven’t been as active as we’d like to be over the recent months. We’ve been working on lots of different things and we’ve been really trying to put the best foot forward for our next release. I think it’s fair to say that we haven’t been very prolific when it comes to releasing material, mainly because the face of the band has gone through lots of changes which in turn means our sound has continued to change with it. We’re slaving away in the studio working on our new EP entitled ‘Cities’. It will be a 5 track EP and it’s something we’re very excited about letting you all hear. All the recording of it is nearly done, thank God! We’ve done most of it in our Area 94 studio and some in The Nutshed Studio, Clara .
The lads were nice enough (or crazy enough) to let me work closely with Steve Averill on the Artwork design for ‘Cities’. We’ve also aligned ourselves with a wonderful French artist, Alexandre Guillaume. Alexandre’s artwork has helped shape the theme of this EP. His abstract art is really quite amazing and it just seems to fit perfectly with the landscaping sounds that Lee and Seán have brought to this batch of songs. He lives in New York and as some of you may know the biggest changes to come in both my own personal life and songwriting has come from my visits to the city that never sleeps.
Another big thing that is very exciting is that one of the songs on this EP won’t be written by me. Lee has penned a couple of great songs and one of them will be included on it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. He might even put me out of a job! (gez I hope not).
We’ll be playing them all at Vantastival on April 29th if you’re planning on dropping by, it’s going to be a great festival. Try get yourself some tickets.
That’s all for now folks. All the guys say hello and hope to see you real soon. We’ll be doing the ‘odd’ gig here and there but we won’t be making any announcements until we have ‘Cities’ ready.
Love and Light
